MoU with Ethnographic museum

At the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade Ethno Network organized the ceremony to deliver awards to artisans whose miniature framed motifs were ranked as best in the juried exhibition \\\'100 women - 100 miniatures \\\' for 2012. The partners in the exhibition include Ethnographic museum, Faculty of applied arts, NALED and Privredna Banka Beograd.

Art Council of Ethno Network conducted a selection of exhibits from all over Serbia, and the jury chose to award the best exhibits in the traditional techniques (embroidery, weaving, felting, crocheting and filet-lace making) including the exhibit by the most successful young author, all to be awarded by Ethno Network.

Zora Mitic, Nis, weaving
Biljana Zivkovic, Bela Palanka, crochet/filet-lace making
Svetlana Sovljanski, Indjija, young artisan

Juried exhibition: \\\'100 women - 100 miniatures\\\' is being organized for the third year in a row, and is intended to motivate handicraft producers, mostly women and young people, to improve and develop skills in traditional techniques, and receive adequate rewards and recognition by experts and the general public.

On this occasion, they signed an agreement on cooperation between the Museum of Ethnography and Ethno network will significantly contribute to the preservation of traditional Serbian heritage through active knowledge transfer to members of Ethno Network in collaboration with curators and ethnologists. Vilma Niskanovic, director of the Ethnographic Museum highlighted the willingness of the museum to actively transfer knowledge and provide technical support to artisans and coordinate with Ethno network joint proposals for donors, institutions and the media, aiming to preserve and promote the tradition of Serbia.
