Empowered women associations as drivers of local development in Bela Palanka

Ethno network, in cooperation with the municipality of Bela Palanka, and with the support of UN Women, organized a round table on the topic "Empowered women's associations as drivers of local development", on Friday, October 29. With the moderation of Silvana Tošić, a conversation was held on the topic of preserving authentic products of this region and the support that organizations of producers, craftsmen and entrepreneurs need in order to be successful in their further work.

A large number of representatives of local associations, as well as representatives of the Municipality, the local tourist organization and the Cultural Institution "Remizijana", attended the gathering. Participants were motivated to express what they need from the support measures in order to improve the work of the association, and empower women for further work. They will have the opportunity to apply for the support program that will follow within the project: training for appearance on social networks, project writing, as well as product design and presentation.

This project is supported by the United Nations Agency for Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment in Serbia (UN Women) within the project "Key Steps to Gender Equality, Phase II" funded by the European Union.
