„Accounting procedures in online sales”

Within the project “Digitization of Tradition” implemented by Ethno Network with the support of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications and in cooperation with NALED, a series of seminars was launched by the first one entitled “Accounting procedures in online sales”.

The seminar was opened by Violeta Jovanovic, NALED Executive Director, who was accompanied by competent lecturers: Biljana Lazic Ethno Network accountant and Milojka Crnogorac inspector from the Tax Administrations Field Control Unit in Novi Sad. Practice classes were joined by Dusan Vujovic, World Bank Consultant, and Ana Trbovic, Professor at the Faculty of Economics, Finance, and Administration (FEFA) who shared their experiences on the topic.

The seminar was attended by members of Ethno Network – local craft associations, cooperatives and independent craft shops from all over Serbia. During the workshop, they discussed the registration of associations and entrepreneurs, business codes, keeping business books, payments to members, as well as the placement of goods and collection of payment in retail and online sales.

The workshop also hosted the discussion about the possibilities of placing handicrafts through websites and online platforms, as well as the challenges artisans face when they sell their products online. Participants in the training were also given the opportunity to discuss all the necessary conditions to be fulfilled in the process of obtaining the crafts certificate issed by the Ministry of economy and the benefits that the certificate provides.

In conclusion, participants and organizers agreed on the topics for the workshops to follow.
