Award ceremony within the exhibition

On November 2, 2010, in the Belgrade City Hall, Ethno Network organized the award ceremony for authors of framed motifs within the first juried handicrafts exhibition entitled \\\'100 women - 100 miniatures\\\'.

The award was attended by artisans from all over Serbia and select officials including Stanija Visekruna, Deputy secretary for economy in the City of Belgrade, Miroslav Cuckovic, city councilor and Violeta Jovanovic, chair of Ethno Network managing board.

On behalf of the secretariat for economy in the City of Belgrade, guests were greeted by Stanija Visekruna who expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the exhibition supported by the secretariat. Mrs. Visekruna confirmed preparedness of the secretariat to maintain supporting producers\\\' efforts towards self-employment by providing employment subsidies and support to organization of tourism events and manifestations.

City councilor Miroslav Cuckovic reminded guests to the cooperation between the City of Belgrade and underdeveloped areas and reiterated the importance of traditional handicrafts in the tourist offer within the City.

The guests were extended a warm welcome by Dusanka Botunjac, member of Managing Board of Ethno Network.

Awards by the professional jury were delivered to Danijela Aradjanski from Kikinda for filet lace, Nela Pejcic from Odzaci for felting, Evica Djuric from Veliko Gradiste for hand weaving and Nada Gracner from Trstenik for embroidery. The awards were delivered by Stanija Visekruna, Deputy secretary for economy in the City of Belgrade, Miroslav Cuckovic, city councilor and Rade Sevic from Hypo Alpe Adria Bank.

Four awards of the professional jury were granted to young authors: Danijela Aradjanski from Kikinda for filet-lace, Aleksandra Karadzin from Kikinda for hand-weaving, Marija Trifunovic from Pancevo for white-work, and Dragana Ilic from Bela Palanka for gold-thread embroidery.

The awards were delivered by Marko Karadzic, member of t
