Crafts Еxpo

A specialized exhibition called crafts expo was held on August 14, 2010 in Veliko Gradiste. The exhibition was attended by 7 associations, out of which five from Ethno Network: \'Entuzijasti Kuceva\', \'Panonke\' Pancevo, \'Sremice\' Pecinci, Association from Osecina, \'UZZ Jefimija\' Veliko Gradiste, and two associations outside of Ethno Network, i.e. women\'s associations from Kladurovo and Ljig. The crafts expo also included trainees from the weaving course organized by Ethno Network in collaboration with the National Employment Agency and Ministry of economy and regional development.

The expo was organized by Citizens\' association from Veliko Gradiste (AGVG) and sponsored by the Ministry of agriculture, forestry and water management, and the Association \'Moba\' from Ljig as a representative of the Project of sustainable tourism development in support of rural development. A professional jury composed of Danica Djokic, ethnologist and Rajka Jovanovic, applied artist, reached the decision to deliver the first prize for hand-woven male scarf to Evica Djuric from the crafts coop \'UZZ Jefimija\' in Veliko Gradiste. The prize for hand-embroidered traditional towel went to Svetlana Zivanovic from the association of \'Entuzijasti Kuceva\', while the prize for hand-made pottery was awarded to Ivana Misic. A special prize for the best booth was given to the association of women from Osecina as an incentive for them to continue with their efforts in handicraft production. as they only had their first public appearance in Veliko Gradiste.

The expo was held in a wonderful setting of the Danube quay within the traditional manifestation called \'Alaske veceri\' (fishers\' nights) that was organized for the 45th time. In addition to participants, the expo was attended by partners, i.e. a representative of the Ministry of agriculture, forestry and water management, Radivoj Nadlacki, and a representative of the association \'Moba\' Ljig, Dragan Sajic. Within the manifestation, other displays were
