Indonesian Serbian day “Unity in Creativity”

Indonesian Embassy in Belgrade officially marked 60 years of diplomatic relations between Jakarta and Belgrade. Agreement on cooperation between the two countries was signed on 4 November 1954, after which the relations between Serbia and Indonesia kept growing in all fields.

The official slogan of the event was \'Unity in creativity\', and the ceremony was attended by government officials and ambassadors of many countries, including friends of Ethno Network, the ambassadors of Australia, India, Ireland, Finland and representatives of international organizations. Ethno network that fosters long term cooperation with the Embassy of Indonesia, was presented together with its member association \'Panonke\' from Pancevo in the creative corner alongside Manual, Wabi-Sabi, and selected representatives of the creative industry in Serbia. Event\'s program included traditional Indonesian dances, food and music as part of a cultural exchange that allows further strengthening of cooperation and understanding between the two peoples.

Farewell address by Ambassador Samuel Samson invited spontaneous rounds of applause of numerous guests, as it was genuine and from the heart as the Ambassador was talking about his tenure in Serbia, where he gained a lot of friends and therefore regrets leaving at the end of his three-year mandate.

Indonesia\'s national motto, \'Bhinneka Tunggal Ika\' (\'United in diversity\') embodies the diversity that shapes the country.
