Exhibition “Greetings from Serbia”

The exhibition “Greetings from Serbia” was open in the Department Store in Knez Mihailova Street 5 in Belgrade. The display includes handicrafts made by members of Ethno network from all over Serbia as well as select authors (Stefan Varga, Milica Maric, Marina Brzak, Milena Petrovic). The exhibition is organized in cooperation Ethno Network and Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), aiming to draw the attention of the public to the necessity of having exclusive ethno gallery in the city center to present almost forgotten Serbian brands such as: Pirot rugs, damask from Bezdan, pottery from Zlakusa, naive painters of Kovacica etc... These near forgotten brands would enrich the tourist offer of Belgrade and feature some of the most authentic Serbian motifs.

At today\\\'s opening ceremony speeches were delivered by Ana Trbovic, member of the Ethno Network Advisory Board, Branko Stankovic, author and editor of Squaring the Circle (RTS) and Dejan Veselinov, director of the Tourist Organization of Belgrade, who spoke about the importance of Ethno Network activities towards preservation of Serbian tradition.

The exhibition is open every day from 10:00 to 21:00h for a period of March 4-24, 2013.
