Opening of a crafts coop in Novi Sad

On a quiet Monday evening of April 23, a recently established crafts cooperative called Zemlja held the official opening of their premises in Mileticeva 33 in Novi Sad.

The newly equipped and adapted office of the cooperative was packed with visitors expressing surprise and satisfaction upon entering the embellished space. The opening was attended by representatives of USAID CRDA-E program (Mr. Bill Emerson, EDU Manager) and Provincial Government (Mr. Istvan Pastor, Provincial Secretary for Privatization) who gave brief statements at the opening, following the introductory words by Ms. Ljiljana Kosanovic, capable and energetic manager of the cooperative.

The cooperative currently includes 10 founding members who have jointly rented the premises for their workshop and are already organizing first weaving and sewing courses.
