Felting class for ISB students

With the support of the Australian Embassy in Serbia and H.E. Ambassador Feeney, Ethno Network held a felting workshop on November 21, as the International School of Belgrade for first and second grade students. The class was held to share felting skills and natural fabric among schoolchildren.

This prestigious school offers programs for both local and international children who come from different parts of the world. It is well known that children are very creative as evidenced in this workshop. Hence, the children exceeded the tasks proposed by Ethno Network trainers to work independently done many interesting works of wool. Kids felted objects in the shape of heart, Christmas trees, stars, balls intended for Christmas decorations and pet toys. It is particularly interesting to point out that many of them for the first time met with the kind of materials such as natural wool so that the class will hopefully stay long in their memory as a new, interesting experience. It was also very interesting when the children were shown wool and many children were surprised stated that they did not know that there are red, blue, green ... sheep, and actually the wool was dyed and knowing it comes from sheep, they concluded that the sheep can be colorful.

In addition to representatives of Ethno Network, the workshop was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Australia - Melinda Rio, the First Secretary of the Embassy who joined the children in creative work and play. Hopefully, this cooperation will continue to open new opportunities to socialize with this creative children.
