Regional juried exhibition

Meeting of representatives of Ethno Network with professional associations of craft producers from the Republic of Srpska was organized with the support of the Representative office of Republic of Srpska in Belgrade, Tourist Organization of Republic of Srpska and Tourist Organization of Banja Luka, in the premises of the Center for the blind and visually impaired in Banja Luka.

The aim of the meeting was to establish better understanding and exchange of experiences among groups of craft producers and tourism organizations in the Republic of Srpska and Ethno Network and thus facilitate joint planning of the juried exhibition \'100 women 100 miniatures\'. Representatives of Ethno Network , Sofija Arsic and Violeta Jovanovic presented the work and results of Ethno Network as well as opportunities for cooperation with peer associations in Republic of Srpska through joint activities, exchange of experiences and coordinated approach to the institutions and the media. Local craft associations and producers that attended the meeting have a well-developed souvenir and clothing program, while working to preserve authentic motifs and skills and engage the media. The practices and high standards imposed by local associations resemble the quality and approach applied by Ethno Network which creates a good basis for regional integration and cooperation. During the meeting, local producers got acquainted with the detailed propositions and the conditions for participation in the juried exhibition of miniatures and agreed on concrete steps to be taken in issuing a joint call for exhibits. In addition to participation in the contest , it was agreed that the selected representatives of local associations are represented in the committees that perform the selection of exhibits and winning exhibits.
