“Ethno Network – to business Belgrad

Handicrafts as a business gift

Belgrade, October 2 – Annual exhibition of handicrafts entitled “Ethno Network – to business Belgrade” was officially opened at the Gallery of Radio-Television Serbia (RTS) today. This national association of handicraft producers, in cooperation with RTS, has presented traditional handiworks of its members from all over Serbia. Laptop bags, men’s and women’s scarves, ties, traditional Serbian towel, felted mats, pottery, bookmarks, are only a part of products that visitors will be able to see until October 15, within the authentic atmosphere created in Takovska 10 especially for this occasion.

Business gifts occupy very important place in the business culture and may represent a good introduction for establishing successful business relations, as well as a way to say thanks for successful cooperation. On this exhibiiton Ethno Network presents products that are traditional, but modern, containing authentic motifs and contemporary design. These handicrafts were created in associations and cooperatives – members of the Ethno Network throughout Serbia, and guarantee of the quality is also the fact that products created within the project of Public Works are used by the Serbian government officials as protocol gifts, at the meetings with foreign statesmen.

Official opening ceremony was attended by friends and partners of Ethno Network - Zorica Nikodijevic from the Protocol of the Serbian government, Mette Kjuel Nielsen, Ambassador of Denmark to the Republic of Serbia, Srdjan Andrijanic, spokesman of the National Employment Service, and Jelena Petkovic, Head of Corporate affairs of Tigar company. Ann Pesic, a member of the Advisory Board, was speaking on behalf of Ethno Network, and the RTS, co-organizer of the exhibition was represented by Zoran Milikic, assistant director, Petar Djinovic, author of the exhibition, and Bojana Andric, editor and author of the TV show Trezor.
