Best Practice In Serbia\

Ethno Network won the first award as the Best practice in rural development of Serbia in 2008, a competition organized by RARIS, the Regional agency for rural development of Eastern Serbia. The competition included examples and practices from the eleven regional centers throughout Serbia that make the Rural development network established and sponsored by the Republic Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management. Each of the regional coordinators presented a select practice from their region, that were evaluated by a professional jury composed of officials from the Ag ministry: Slobodan Teofanov, assistant minister, Zeljko Radosevic, state secretary, Radivoj Nadlacki, rural development advisor, Veljko Djordjevic, coordinator of the rural development network, as well as Branislav Milic, a GTZ project manager. Ethno Network was unanimously voted as the best practice presented by the Regional center “Danube” from Veliko Gradiste, while other awards went to Nis for presentation of modern technology in strawberry production and Ljig for marketing practices in ethno tourism.
